Located in La Bréole, in the Ubaye valley, the L'Arnica gîte "Le Charamel" is a renovated 85 m² former shepherd's barn, completely independent, offering an exceptional setting overlooking Lac de Serre-Ponçon and the peaks of the Southern Alps. Accessible via a private track away from the main guest house, this gîte features a large south-facing terrace with panoramic views, equipped with garden furniture, sun loungers and a barbecue. Designed to sleep up to 4 people, it has two bedrooms, two shower rooms with WC, a bright lounge/dining room, a fully equipped kitchen, and a mezzanine with a reading nook and TV area. Large bay windows and skylights flood the space with natural light and let you soak up the stunning views over the lake and surrounding mountains. The brushed larch wood décor creates a warm, cosy atmosphere — perfect for a relaxing getaway in the heart of nature. A PERFECT BASE FOR RIDERS The gîte is ideally positioned to explore the legendary roads of the Southern Alps. From L'Arnica, riders can easily access more than 30 iconic alpine passes: Col de la Bonnette, Col de Vars, Col de la Cayolle, Col d'Allos, Col d'Izoard, Col de la Lombarde, Col des Champs and many more legendary routes. FULL COMFORT & TOTAL INDEPENDENCE The gîte comes fully equipped for a completely self-sufficient stay: dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, freezer, microwave, cooker, coffee machine, television, free Wi-Fi, crockery and kitchen utensils.
