Located in Lantosque, in the Vésubie valley (Alpes-Maritimes), Mon gîte à Pélasque is a self-contained 32 m² studio rated three stars, sleeping up to two people. It sits right at the gateway to the Mercantour National Park, about ten minutes from the Route des Grandes Alpes. The place works just as well for a one-night stopover as it does for a longer stay, with discounts available from three consecutive nights. ACCOMMODATION The studio is set within the owners' villa but has its own completely independent entrance, accessed via a staircase. Sleeping is for two people maximum, on a full-size 160 x 200 sofa bed suitable for everyday use. FOOD & DRINKS Breakfast is available every morning for an extra charge, served from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m., featuring homemade goodies: yogurts, fruit compote, brioches, and jams. Hot or cold packed lunches can be prepared on request : perfect for long days in the saddle or late arrivals. The owners are also happy to make restaurant reservations in the valley for anyone who'd like a sit-down meal. BIKER WELCOME Parking is inside the villa grounds, with easy access right in front of the property : bikes park directly on the main terrace. Two motorcycles can be accommodated at no extra charge. The owners offer a special "biker package" for solo riders or duos, breakfast included, just ask when you book. ROADS & SCENERY The Route des Grandes Alpes is about ten minutes away: it links up with the Vésubie via the Col de Turini whose legendary switchbacks were made famous by the Monte-Carlo Rally, then heads up the valley toward Saint-Martin-Vésubie and crosses the Col Saint-Martin at La Colmiane, around thirty minutes out. Beyond that, the route drops down onto the Valdeblore plateau and descends to the Tinée valley, where you can pick up the Col de la Couillole and, further north, the Col de la Bonette, closed in winter. Heading downstream, the Vésubie narrows through its gorges all the way down to the Var valley. On the other side of the Turini, Sospel opens the door to the Cols de Braus, de Brouis, and de Castillon, toward the Roya and the backcountry behind Menton. For a day off the bike, the via ferrata at Lantosque, the thermal baths at Berthemont-les-Bains : the only thermal spa in the département and France's longest zip line at La Colmiane are all close by. PRACTICAL INFO Check-in is between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m., and check-out is by 11 a.m. A Carrefour Market open 7 days a week and a 24/7 gas station are ten minutes away, with two EV charging stations five minutes from the property in the center of Lantosque. The accommodation is non-smoking, with an ashtray available on the terrace, and pets are not accepted.
