A two-star hotel in the heart of Lourdes' historic district, 150 meters from the Sanctuary and the grotto, and 50 meters from the mill where Saint Bernadette was born. Open from April to October, it is run by Chantal, Claude and their team, welcoming pilgrims and volunteers from around the world alongside motorcyclists, cyclists and hikers. It is a convenient base for riders heading into the Pyrenees who want to stay close to the center of Lourdes. ACCOMMODATION The hotel has 33 rooms, including single, double, triple and family rooms, all non-smoking. Check-in is from 2:00 PM, and rooms must be vacated by 10:00 AM. A €50 deposit per room may be required to confirm a booking. Cancellation is free until the day before arrival, and the remaining balance is paid at the front desk. Pets are not allowed, except guide dogs. DINING The restaurant serves French cuisine with a menu that changes daily, featuring seasonal dishes prepared with locally sourced ingredients from nearby farmers and artisan producers. The wine list highlights neighboring vineyards, including Madiran, Côtes de Saint-Mont, Jurançon and Béarn. Meals are served every day from breakfast through dinner, and the hotel offers both half-board and full-board stays. BIKER WELCOME Claude, who runs the hotel, is a rider himself and knows the local area extremely well. He can recommend routes through the Bigorre, Béarn and Basque Country, as well as useful stops along the way. Motorcycles are stored in a secure closed garage shared with the Hélianthe hotel. It can accommodate more than twenty bikes and is easily accessible from the hotel's street. Parking costs €5 per day and is included in the biker pack. A wash area and tools are also available on site. The biker pack includes one night in a standard room, garage parking, a welcome beer on arrival, dinner from the daily menu and a buffet breakfast. The hotel also offers discounts on half-board and full-board stays. The hotel holds the Relais Motards label from the Journal des Motards, welcomes motorcycle groups and is one of the partner hotels for the Lourdes motorcycle pilgrimage, with preferential rates available for the event. ROADS & SCENERY South of Lourdes, the Argelès-Gazost valley opens into the central Pyrenees and onto the D918, the famous road linking the Col du Soulor, Col d'Aubisque, Col du Tourmalet and Col d'Aspin. Heading west, the Soulor and Aubisque lead down toward Laruns and the Béarn. Heading east, the valley climbs toward Luz-Saint-Sauveur, where the Tourmalet crosses toward Sainte-Marie-de-Campan, the Aspin continues toward Arreau and the Peyresourde lies just beyond. These major passes can be combined into a full day of riding from the hotel. From Luz-Saint-Sauveur, a road follows the river all the way to Gavarnie and its famous cirque. Two other roads are also well worth riding in the area, Luz-Ardiden above Luz and Hautacam above Argelès-Gazost. Further west in the Béarn, the Col de Marie-Blanque connects the Aspe Valley with the Ossau Valley. Two mountain passes provide access into Spain, the Somport at the end of the Aspe Valley and the Pourtalet above Laruns. The Tourmalet, Aubisque and Pourtalet close during winter and usually reopen in spring. Depending on snow conditions, some of the highest passes may still be closed in April when the hotel reopens. RATES The Biker Pack starts from €60 per night and can go up to €90 per night. It includes garage parking for your motorcycle, a welcome beer on arrival, dinner from the daily menu, one night in a standard room and a buffet breakfast.
