La Clé des Champs is a gîte located in Montenois, in the Doubs, on a 40 are property at the edge of the forest. Angélique and Sébastien Mion transformed this former leisure center into a collection of nine accommodations, ranging from transparent domes to more traditional rooms, with capacities from 2 to 50 guests. In the heart of the Pays de Montbéliard, it works equally well as an overnight stop or as a base for several days of riding. ACCOMMODATION The three unusual accommodations, the AGRID cabin and the ORIANA and OLIA domes, each have a private terrace and a Nordic bath. A chalet with showers and toilets is located just a few steps away, and breakfast is included in the rate. The two level OLIA dome can accommodate up to four guests, while AGRID and ORIANA each sleep two. The six standard accommodations range from a double room to the JASMINE house with three bedrooms, along with an accessible room and two apartments. The property can accommodate up to 50 guests in summer and 36 in winter, and the entire estate can also be booked privately. FOOD & DRINK Several food options are available on site or on request, including charcuterie boards, artisan pinsa, local snails and regional products. Breakfast is included for guests staying in the unusual accommodations and is served in the shared common area. BIKER WELCOME Angélique and Sébastien enjoy welcoming motorcyclists and have created secure spaces for two wheelers. A locked garage is available directly on the property with easy access. ROADS & SCENERY The property is ideally located for exploring the Doubs, Jura, Vosges, Haute Saône, Territoire de Belfort, Alsace, Switzerland and Germany. To the north, the Ballon d'Alsace is one of the most accessible routes. The climb follows the D465 through Giromagny before descending toward Saint Maurice sur Moselle and the upper Moselle Valley. Further on, the Vosges Route des Crêtes offers enough riding for a full day, although some sections close during winter. To the south, the Doubs Valley leads toward the border gorges. Between Saint Hippolyte and Goumois, the corniche road follows the river from above before descending through a series of tight bends toward the Swiss border and the Franches Montagnes. The Haut Doubs plateau makes it possible to extend the ride through Maîche, Morteau and Villers le Lac.
