Corsica by Motorcycle

Between the Mediterranean and the mountains, Corsica is a destination in its own right for a motorcycle road trip. The island offers an exceptional density of landscapes within a compact territory: coastal roads suspended above turquoise coves, remote mountain passes, Laricio pine forests, schist perched villages and omnipresent granite. Riders particularly appreciate Corsica for the character of its roads. Narrow, winding, often without guardrails, they demand concentration but reward with constant panoramas and a rare sense of freedom seldom found on the mainland. Within a few hours of riding, you can go from the seafront to the heights of the Niolu, or reach the Bavella needles from the southern beaches. With its two departments and multiple possible itineraries, Corsica is ideally suited to a full week-long tour. To plan your stopovers, Bivo makes it easy to find motorcycle-friendly accommodation with secure bike parking, so you can fully enjoy the roads and landscapes of the island.

Haute-Corse (2B)

The island begins here, and it shows. Cap Corse is a 120 km loop that is worth the trip on its own: cliffs, perched villages, narrow roads and the sea always in sight. The interior, with the Niolu and the Castagniccia, has an austere beauty, sees little traffic, and is reserved for lovers of true mountain roads.

Corse-du-Sud (2A)

The south of the island blends the granite of the Bavella needles with the turquoise coves of the Gulf of Porto-Vecchio. The Sanguinaires road and the Spelunca gorges above Porto are unmissable routes. Ajaccio makes a good logistical base. Best combined with Haute-Corse for a full week-long tour of the island.
