Morvan Séjours is a five-room bed and breakfast run by Valérie and Olivier in Antully, a small village in the Autunois area within the Morvan Regional Natural Park, just a few kilometers from Autun. You're welcomed like a guest in their home, with an evening table d'hôtes and a locked garage for your bike. Whether you're looking for a one-night stopover or a base camp to explore the massif for several days, this place delivers. ACCOMMODATION Each of the five rooms is named after a Morvan animal. Le Cerf and Le Loup both have a queen-size bed (160 cm), with Le Loup overlooking the garden. L'Ours has two twin beds (90 cm). Le Hérisson combines a queen bed (160 cm) with a sitting area featuring a sofa bed (120 cm) that sleeps a third person. La Chouette, with its full-size bed (140 cm), is the most affordable room in the house, ideal for a solo rider or a quick overnight stop. DINING The table d'hôtes is served every evening except Sunday at 7:30 PM, either in the dining room or outside depending on the weather. Everything is homemade, built around vegetables and fruit from their kitchen garden and orchard : grown in heritage varieties without chemicals, along with farm produce sourced locally. The meal runs €38 per person, including an aperitif and a quarter bottle of wine, and must be booked at the same time as your room: last-minute requests are no longer accepted. A meat-free meal is available on request, and any allergies should be flagged at booking. For something lighter, the house offers a charcuterie and cheese plancha board at €12 per person, served until 7:30 PM, which you can round out with fries (€3) or a green salad (€1). A sandwich at €5 is also on offer, either to eat on-site or to take away, and you're welcome to bring your own picnic. Breakfast is included in the room rate and served from 7:30 to 9:00 AM. BIKER WELCOME The locked garage is available free of charge, reserved for motorcycles and bicycles only : cars stay in the parking lot. It fits around ten bikes with direct access from the property. The house is a dedicated biker stopover and keeps a small set of tools on hand for any adjustments before you hit the road again. ROADS & SCENERY Antully sits on a forested plateau south of Autun, giving you direct access into the Morvan: a tight network of narrow, twisting roads with barely any traffic and constant rhythm changes between forests, moorland, and valley floors. To the west, the Signal d'Uchon and its granite boulder chaos are reached via a switchback climb that opens up to a sweeping panorama. Deeper into the massif, Mont Beuvray and the Bibracte archaeological site are accessed via a winding forest road with a one-way loop at the summit, and the ride across to Haut-Folin : the highest point in the Morvan strings together stretch after stretch of dense forest. The Gorges de la Canche cut a dramatic path toward the Nivernais side of the Morvan, where you can connect to the large lakes of Pannecière and Les Settons for a solid full-day loop. Head east and the landscape flattens out, with roads rolling down into the plains and the vineyards of the Côte de Beaune.
